LIP BLUSH TATTOO:
Defined cupid's bows are considered the most desirable lips in the world!
Lip Blush Tattoo is a very natural looking semi-permanent Makeup which uses specific pigments as a cosmetic tattoo. It’s designed to subtly boost the colour and shape of your lips, giving you the illusion of a fuller and enhanced colour. Lip Blush heals very quickly, for the most part, expect approximately 4 days of cautions.
IMPORTANT TO READ:
-
If you have a history of cold sores, it is essential to see a health consultant (pharmacist or Doctor) at least 4 days prior to the treatment and request preventative intervention. Lip tattooing will not give you cold sores however it can induce an outbreak therefore it is essential to take a preventative medication recommended by a healthcare professional. Some pharmacists recommend Flamvr (anti viral medication) at least three days before the procedure.
-
Ensure the lip area is not sunburnt, damaged, chapped or too dry.
-
Gently exfoliate 1 week prior to the treatment and sleep with an hydrating product (eg. Paw Paw balm or Bepanthen on lip area)
-
Repeat the above step every second night until the day of your treatment
-
Avoid Laser within 2 weeks of your appointment
-
You will need to avoid laser on or near the lip area post-tattooing. I recommend ensuring any laser treatment courses are completed prior to Lip Blushing
AFTER CARE:
-
Swelling may be expected after treatment. This normally subsides throughout the day, however, may last 3-5 days
-
Apply cold compress or ice to the area immediately after treatment for just a few minutes and repeat every few hours that day
-
Avoid applying ice directly to exposed skin, a clean tissue may be used as barrier
-
Avoid consuming hot drinks or alcohol for the first few days post-treatment
-
Using a clean cotton tip, apply a very thin layer of the recommended ointment regularly throughout the day.
-
Do not apply makeup to the area or touch with unclean fingers until healed (1 week)
-
Dryness, flaking and peeling may be expected within the first few days and is normally completed within a week
-
The colour will normally disappears at first, due to the changes in new skin. Colour will return at around 7 weeks
-
If you experience symptoms of cold sores, inflammation or tenderness at the treated area, notify me and consult a pharmacist immediately.
-
Return for a touch-up at 8 weeks.
For 1 week Post-Treatment:
Avoid cardio workouts and excessive sweating
until the healing area starts to scab up (2-5 days). Once the scabbing starts, you may resume normal exercising, however be cautious of exposing the area to sweat.
Do not touch the healing area with fingers.
Do not submerge the area in chlorinated pools or salt water.
Avoid saturating the area in water.
Avoid hot, steamy showers, steam rooms and saunas until healed.
Avoid hot, spray tanning the area until healed.
Avoid consuming alcohol for 48 hours post-treatment.
Protect the area from sun exposure and ensure your skin is in good health for 2 weeks prior to the treatment.
Certain chemicals in cleansers and moisturisers will accelerate fading and may discolour the tattoo. Avoid applying these products to any tattooed areas unless directed to do so.
Expected healing time between 5-10 days.
Week after treatment:
Where did the colour go?
During the healing process, the tattooed area will become intensely dark and minor scabbing will develop as new collagen rich skin forms underneath. This new skin temporarily makes the pigment appear faded and dull. Protect and nourish this new skin and the colour will return within a few weeks (7 weeks for this treatment).
Reason why you should't be afraid of this treatment:
The picture above is to show you how Lip Blush as well as any other permanent makeup procedure is not necessarily designed to makeover your natural beauty. If you are looking for a "barely there" result, this can be aesily done with one sesssion of permanent make up only. See these lips from the above picture, colour appears absolutely natural as if we did nothing but if you compare them with the before photo, the difference is apparent!
The second visit or the so called "touch-up" of Lip Blush is always included within the initial price and aims to increase the brightness of the colour chosen and its longevity over the years. Therefore for those who are after a more dramatic effect, the additional visit is higly recommended.
